Mimi and the Firefly Night
Mimi the mouse and her friend Finn the frog discover a forest lit by playful fireflies. They follow the gentle lights, meet other animals, and feel the warm hush of a magical night.
Night fell on the forest. Mimi the mouse peeked out.
A tiny light blinked on a leaf. Then another blinked nearby. Soon many lights glowed like stars.
Mimi scampered to the pond. Finn the frog hopped up to look.
The fireflies danced in the air. They made little trails of light.
Owls blinked slowly. Rabbits paused to stare. Even the trees seemed to listen.
Mimi and Finn followed a glowing path. They walked softly on the moss.
At the clearing the fireflies made a circle. The lights floated up like tiny lanterns.
The lights drifted up into the sky. Mimi and Finn yawned and went home. They dreamed of little lights.
