Little Cloud Explorer
Little Yun and her cloud friends ride the wind along a ladder of clouds to a cloud-top city. There they meet a flying bluebird and the playful Grandfather Wind. Together they search for a lost kite and discover friendship and courage on their adventure.
Little Yun stood in the garden and looked up at the bright blue sky. She spotted a gleaming ladder of clouds, as if inviting her to explore the clouds.
Little Yun climbed the cloud ladder. Her cloud friend Biwu floated beside her, giggling. 'Come on,' said Biwu, 'I'll take you to the cloud-top city!'
Grandfather Wind gave a gentle puff and sent them flying. A little bluebird, Xiaolan, darted back and forth ahead, chattering to show them the way. Little Yun held Biwu's hand tightly, feeling excited and a little nervous.
They arrived at the cloud-top city. The roofs looked like marshmallows and the streets were soft clouds. At the entrance hung a silver wind-chime that swayed gently and made a pleasant sound.
Aduo, the baker in the Cloud Market, brought out steaming cloud cakes; their sweet scent drifted through the air. Suddenly, Little Yun realised her favourite kite was missing!
They searched the cloud lanes, asking at the balloon shop and the flying-fish market. Grandfather Wind laughed and blew a gust, and at last the kite was being held aloft in the distance by a bunch of flying balloons.
They had to cross a little rainbow bridge, which was a bit slippery. Xiaolan flew ahead to point the way, and Biwu propped up a soft cloud so everyone could carefully step across one by one.
They recovered the kite and flew it together on the cloud-top. The setting sun turned the clouds golden. Little Yun held the kite and knew she had many cloud friends to come back to for more adventures.
