Star Rabbit and the Moon Path
A gentle Navajo-inspired legend for preschoolers about a curious rabbit who travels through the galaxy, following a glowing moon path, and learns about friendship and bravery.
Long ago Star Rabbit lived under the wide night sky. He loved to watch the stars shine.
One night Grandmother Moon smiled down. She whispered "Follow the moon path little one."
Star Rabbit saw a shining path of light. It stretched across the sky bright and wide.
Hop, hop, hop! Star Rabbit bounced onto the moon path. Up, up he went!
He met Singing Starbirds. They sang "Twinkle, twinkle up so high!"
The path grew dark. Star Rabbit felt small. He whispered "I am brave I can go on."
Suddenly the Starbirds glowed bright. They sang "You are not alone!"
Star Rabbit smiled. He hopped hopped, hopped along the path. His heart felt strong.
At last he reached the end. Grandmother Moon waited. She said "You are brave little one."
Star Rabbit looked down. The world sparkled below. He felt safe and loved.
